The Fine Print

Flavor Town is a hobby site run by guild members. There are no ads, no trackers and no one is selling anything.

What we keep

When you log in with Discord we read your Discord user ID, name, avatar, and your membership and roles in the Flavor Town server. We use that to check you are in the guild and to show your name and picture. We do not ask for your email, your messages or your friends list, and we hand Discord's access token straight back after sign-in.

We keep what you post here, what you put on your character sheet, and a login session cookie. If you set a password, your browser scrambles it before it ever leaves your machine, and we only store a keyed fingerprint of the result.

What the public sees

Most boards are public, including to search engines. Your name, level, class, character sheet and posts are visible to anyone. The officer board is private. The Discord member and online counts on the site are the same numbers Discord shows on an invite, and we do not keep a history of them.

Getting rid of it

Your character page has a delete button. Your name, picture, Discord link and character details go immediately. Your posts stay under a blank name so threads still read properly. If you want a post gone too, delete it first or ask an officer.

Photos of guild members are used with their say-so. If you are in one and want it down, tell an officer and it comes down.
